What I believe...

People and circumstances do not work the way God originally intended. We Live in a messy world that brings pain to us all. We are not alone in our pain. Jesus acknowledges that life is hard and helps us at our point of need. Jesus identifies with us intimately because He too experienced the heartaches of this world. We are not stuck or destined to stay the way we are. God is at work in us through the power of the Holy Spirit, often using people as agents of influence and change to benefit us. Just as our problems often come in the context of relationships, so too, healing comes through relationships. God's deepest desire for us is to love and enjoy Him; to have Joy! God is at work in us that we might learn contentment, experience joy, and find peace in our lives empowering a deep sense of hope in our futures. The Bible is the foundation for the Christian faith and healthy living. It is not a book of rules (though it does contain rules for healthy living) as we often view it, but reveals our deepest needs and longings and how they are fulfilled through the Gospel. God satisfies the deepest longings of our hearts, and call us to live a life of faith, hope, and love which springs from the realities of our safety, security, and significance in not only being the crowned glory of his creation, but experiencing the intimacy of his love.
